I've added 2 more rows, this time along the bottom....Next the top....then, should I stop or add more applique?...hmmm...
I've also joined Lazy Gal's Liberated Amish Quilt Group. You can check out my first post here. What am I thinking? When do I have time for all this?
Hi Carol
ReplyDeleteI love how the hourglass blocks look with your BIQR applique block. It looks like you might have been influenced by Dutch quilts. Is it going to be a wall quilt or a large bed quilt?
I like your colour sense. The row robins look very interesting.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol,
ReplyDeleteI am checking out the blogs of the participants in Lazy Gal's Liberated Amish Get Together, and I wanted to let you know I LOVE the kitty in your banner. Looking forward to the challenge.
Nancy
That is wonderful, what a treat to see another BIQR project nearing completion.

Oh This wallhanging is looking so terrific! I am in applique mode right now so I would definitely vote for some lovely little vines to work their way delicately around the outside here.
ReplyDeleteUsually I like a completing border but for your little quilt, I would stop. The hourglass blocks seem to make a parque frame for the applique and that is all that is needed, in my humble opinion.
